A rack for a kind of roller skates

In skating, traditional shoe racks have a single function and can only meet the basic skating needs, with poor functionality and entertainment. To address this pain point, an innovative skate rack integrating power generation and lighting functions has emerged. By converting sliding kinetic energy into electrical energy, it enables the edge of the rack to emit light and supplies power to external devices, infusing technological and entertainment elements into the sliding experience.
Wheels For Skates That Light Up

Core Design

The shoe rack body is equipped with a power generation wheel. The inner wall of the outer wheel is fixed with a magnetic ring, and the internal bracket is installed with a stationary metal coil group and a second circuit board. When sliding, the rotation of the outer wheel drives the magnetic ring to rotate. The coil cuts the magnetic field lines to generate current, which is transmitted through the circuit board to the first circuit board on the shoe rack to supply power to the electrical components.

The electrical components are centered around the first-line road board and connected to the light-emitting band that surrounds the edge of the shoe frame. When sliding, they automatically light up to create a surrounding lighting effect. The circuit board also reserves two expansion power cords: one extends to the toe of the shoe to support the connection of external lighting lamps, and the other is connected to the electrical components of the upper/LACES and other parts in a free end form, achieving a personalized lighting design for the entire shoe body.

 

Core Construction Principle

The power generation wheel is the core component for achieving kinetic energy conversion. Its structure takes into account both power generation efficiency and installation stability. Through the electromagnetic induction principle of "magnetic ring rotation - coil power generation", combined with details such as planar anti-slip and wire trough storage, the power generation wheel generates electricity by sliding, providing continuous power for the skaters, and balancing functionality and stability.

Power Generation core : The inner wall of the outer wheel is fixed with a magnetic ring, and the internal bracket is equipped with a metal coil group and a second circuit board. When sliding, the magnetic ring rotates along with the outer wheel. The coil cuts the magnetic field lines to generate electricity, which is then powered after being processed by the circuit board.

Stable Installation : The bearings on both sides of the outer wheel are embedded in the wheel and sleeved on the connecting shaft of the assembly seat. The connection holes between the connecting shaft and the bracket are set with corresponding planes to fit and prevent slipping. The bracket is perforated for wiring.

Assembly Design : The assembly base is fixed to the shoe rack through the installation rod, the surface wire trough stores the power cord, and the cover plate conceals the circuit. The bearing groove position is adapted to the general cylindrical shaft, simplifying the processing.
